The increasing interest in human resource practices is due to the assumption that employees and the way they are managed are critical to the success of a firm . Small and Medium enterprises are emerging as reliable alternatives to poverty alleviation and employment .They however face peculiar challenges that affect their performance . It has been noted in other studies that they lack performance standard, do not attract appropriately trained personnel, have Poor compensation systems and lack of employee involvement.en_US
